Boost Aalborg

In February 2026, I completed a one-month marketing project with Boost Aalborg, a local fitness center. My work included:

  • Contributing to branding direction and positioning

  • Developing a social media design guide

  • Creating content for social media (ads, organic posts, reels)

  • Improving website structure and content

  • Providing input on email flows

Key achievement:
Developed a clear social media strategy and design guide, establishing a consistent brand identity to replace previously ad hoc content.

Creating visual consistency on social media

When I joined Boost Aalborg, their social media content lacked visual consistency. Posts varied significantly in style, layout, colours and typography, which made the brand identity appear unclear and indistinct.

To address this, I developed a simple social media design guide that defined a clear visual direction and helped ensure consistency across future posts. The guide established a calm, structured brand feel aligned with Boost’s 40+ target group and supportive training environment, while defining key visual elements like colours, shapes, typography, image style and consistent calls to action.

Using this framework, I created social media templates and a series of ads, organic posts and stories that consistently applied the design guide.

The content highlighted key aspects of Boost Aalborg’s value proposition, including guided training through EGYM machines, an easy entry point for beginners, a calm training environment and flexible training options. See examples of several posts below!

The goal was to make their future content instantly recognisable while clearly communicating a structured, supportive and approachable training experience - everything they stand for.

Improving website structure and content

In addition to social media work, I improved parts of Boost Aalborg’s website to ensure the information was correct, functional, and easy for visitors to navigate.

This included fixing technical and structural issues like replacing a broken contact form by creating and integrating a new form in WordPress, correcting links on CTA buttons and social media, and fixing elements that were incorrectly configured, such as the Google Maps location.

As an example, I included the ‘‘Contact us’’ webpage before (left) and after integrating the new form (right).

I also improved the readability and presentation of website content by editing text, structuring paragraphs for easier scanning and making small layout adjustments. Finally, I implemented on-page SEO improvements to support better visibility and structure.

Together, these improvements strengthened Boost Aalborg’s online presence by creating a clearer visual identity, more consistent communication, and a smoother experience for potential members across social media and the website.
